Dr. Thomas Elliot, also known as Hush, is a prominent antagonist in the Batman mythos. A childhood friend of Bruce Wayne, Elliot harbored resentment towards his parents for preventing him from inheriting the family fortune earlier. This resentment led him to attempt to murder them, a crime only foiled by Bruce's father, Dr. Thomas Wayne.
